Cavatelli With Peas

Ingredients

  • ½-1 LB COOKED CAVATELLI PASTA

  • 1 C. FROZEN PEAS (THAWED)

  • 1 STICK OF BUTTER (1/2 C)

  • 1 ½ C. HEAVY CREAM

  • 2 C. FRESHLY GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE

  • 2 T. MINCED OR CRUSHED GARLIC OR FINELY CHOPPED FRESH (PREFERRED)

  • ½ T. SALT

  • ¼ T. PEPPER


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, boil about 6 cups of water with salt. 

  2. Boil cavatelli 10 minutes. 

  3. Drain pasta.

  4. In a large skillet, add butter and cream and simmer for about 2 minutes to melt the butter. 

  5. Add garlic, salt and pepper and whisk. 

  6. Then add the parmesan and whisk until melted. 

  7. Add peas and pasta to sauce and stir well, incorporate so there is plenty of sauce as it will continue to thicken.
