Goat Cheese Bake With Crostini

Ingredients

  • 1 - 8 OZ LOG OF CHEVRE (GOAT CHEESE)

  • MARINARA SAUCE

  • 1 BAGUETTE OF ITALIAN OR FRENCH BREAD

  • OLIVE OIL

  • GARLIC POWDER

Instructions

  1. Cut baguette into small ¼ inch thick slices. 

  2. Spread onto cooking sheet. 

  3. Drizzle olive oil over bread and then sprinkle garlic powder over bread. 

  4. You can get creative here and put whatever seasonings you like on the bread. 

  5. Cook the bread pieces (crostini) until toasted/golden brown.

  6. Cut log of goat cheese lengthwise and place into a shallow baking dish. 

  7. Add marinara of your choice to dish, to the level of cheese, just slightly over. 

  8. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10-12 minutes, until sauce is almost at a boil and cheese is soft and lightly golden brown on top.

  9. Serve this delicious combo of sauce and cheese with the crostini and pair with a nice glass of wine (or your fav bev, if not wine)
